Basketball players of Patrioti Levice have started preparation for the new competitive season, in which they will defend their title in the Tipos Slovak Basketball League. Coach Michal Madzin's team faces a demanding program before the first league match, with a trip to Munich to face Bayern being part of the preparation.
Levice enters the preparatory period as the reigning Slovak champions. According to available information, they have a packed schedule ahead before the start of the domestic competition. At the beginning of September, they will compete for the Super Cup and shortly thereafter will attempt to advance again to the group stage of the Champions League.
A new development is the strengthening of basketball's Bayern Munich, which acquired former NBA player Beauchamp. For Patrioti, the preparatory confrontation in Germany can thus have even higher sporting value, since Bayern is among the prominent opponents in the preparation program. sport.sk ↗
The team's ambition was indicated by coach Michal Madzin, who at the start of preparation spoke of the goal to build on previous successes and fight for participation in the main phase of the European competition. For the club, this is another opportunity to confirm the position of the most successful Slovak basketball team in recent seasons.
Preparation abroad and the confrontation with Bayern Munich should help Levice before the important September program. The coming weeks will show what form the Patrioti will enter the battles for the Super Cup and subsequently the Champions League qualifications.
