Fehérváry was Washington's second most used player. The Slovak defenseman contributed to the team's defensive work, which maintained a tight lead in the goal-scoring shootout and prevented Montreal from recording its third win in a row. STVR (Minúta po minúte) ↗
Slafkovský played a physically demanding game. After a hard hit, he remained lying on the ice, and a fight subsequently broke out. Despite the unpleasant hit, he continued in the game and, according to the course of the duel, displayed significant combativeness. sport.sk ↗
The star of the match was home forward Alex Tuch, who scored two goals and added an assist. Montreal was backed by Czech goaltender Jakub Dobeš, who faced 18 shot attempts but could not prevent the defeat. He has now gone three games without an NHL win. ekonomika.pravda.sk ↗
Washington thus secured a valuable victory in a clash between two teams featuring Slovak national team players. Both Fehérváry and Slafkovský will have the opportunity in upcoming games to build on their performances and contribute to their teams on the scoreboard as well.
