Antonín Kinský started in goal for the home side, while Martin Dúbravka watched from the bench. Coventry, newly promoted to the top English division, failed to build on their recent form on Tottenham's pitch. sport.sk ↗
James Maddison played a significant role in the match, returning in excellent form. His performance also drew attention in the post-match player ratings. After a series of unconvincing results, Tottenham thus gained a much-needed psychological boost.
According to the team's assessment, manager Roberto De Zerbi has been trying to find a way to restore the squad's missing spark. He has used various approaches, including individual work with players and joint team dinners. The victory over Coventry could be a first step toward improving Tottenham's league position. BBC News ↗
As the season continues, the Londoners will try to prove that the success against the newcomer was not merely an isolated result. Coventry, meanwhile, will look for a way to respond after the defeat in their upcoming league matches.
