Ella Fitzgerald

Wikipedia

Ella Fitzgerald bola americká džezová speváčka. Za svoj život napísala a naspievala stovky obľúbených piesní. Ella Fitzgerald, tiež nazývaná „First Lady of Song“, patrila viac ako pol storočie medzi najpopulárnejšie džezové speváčky v USA. Počas svojho života dostala 13 cien „Grammy“ a vydala viac ako 40 albumov. Jej dominantou bol precízny, temperamentný a „nestarnúci“ hlas s nádhernou farbou a rozsahom tri oktávy. Originálnym spôsobom dokázala podať pomalé džezové balady rovnako famózne ako temperamentné živé songy. Fascinujúca bola predovšetkým jej úžasná schopnosť hlasovej improvizácie – scatu, dokázala svojím hlasom napodobniť zvuk nástrojov celej skupiny. Ella Fitzgerald spolupracovala počas svojej kariéry s takmer všetkými džezovými ikonami.
