Public Enemy je americká hip-hopová skupina, ktorej členmi sú Chuck D, Flavor Flav, DJ Lord, The S1W group, Khari Wynn a Professor Griff. Skupina bola založená v roku 1982 v Long Islande v New Yorku, a je známa svojími politicky mierenými textami a kritikou amerických médií a aktívym podieľaním sa na problémoch Afroamerickej komunity. Ich prvé štyri albumy vydané v druhej polovici 80. rokov a v prvej polovici 90. rokov boli všetky certifikované zlatou alebo platninovou platňou. Podľa hudobného kritika Roberta Hilburna bola skupina "najuznávenejšou rapovou skupinou vôbec, čo sa týka tvorby." V roku 2004 zaradil časopis Rolling Stone skupinu Public Enemy na 44. miesto vo svojom zozname Immortals: 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. V roku 2007 bola skupina zaradená do Long Island Music Hall of Fame. V roku 2013 bola skupina uvedená do Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, čím sa stala štvrtým hip-hopovým interpretom v tejto sieni, po Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Run–D.M.C. a Beastie Boys.
