Gerlachovský štít je najvyšší vrch a jeden z najmohutnejších masívov Tatier, Slovenska aj celých Karpát. Leží v juhovýchodnej rázsoche Zadného Gerlachu, od ktorého ho oddeľuje Gerlachovské sedlo. Z vrcholu pokračuje hrebeň na Kotlový štít, kde sa rozvetvuje a vytvára známy Gerlachovský kotol.
