Czech tennis player Linda Nosková ended her run at the WTA 1000 tournament in Miami in the second round. World number thirteen lost to Sorana Cîrstea 2:6, 6:3, 4:6. The match was interrupted several times by rain, which significantly disrupted the tournament schedule in Miami on Friday. lidovky.cz ↗ idnes.cz ↗
Like Nosková, another Czech representative, Tereza Valentová, was also eliminated in the second round. Nosková thus failed to advance to the third round and continues her return to form after her best season, which she capped off with a semifinal appearance in Indian Wells, where she lost to world number one Aryna Sabalenka. irozhlas.cz ↗ sport.cz - fotbal ↗
Rainy weather on the Florida courts slowed the tournament and caused long delays. Although the Czech tennis player tried to fight her way back into the match and had several chances to turn the tide, she ultimately failed to capitalize on them. Miami thus meant an early end in the main draw for the Czech tennis team. sport.sk ↗ zpravy.aktualne.cz ↗
