Trump will join negotiations with Iran and threatens both Cuba and Taiwan

US President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he will indirectly join US talks with Iran on Tehran's nuclear program, held in Geneva. He warned Iranian officials of consequences if they are not willing to conclude a nuclear deal. According to Trump, Iranian officials want to achieve peace, but it must be a fair deal.

The president will soon also decide on further arms deliveries to Taiwan. He announced this call aboard Air Force One. The decision comes at a time when Chinese President Xi Jinping warned Trump not to continue with similar deliveries. Trump, meanwhile, is warning Ukraine to quickly conclude a deal with Russia, having called on Ukrainian officials aboard his plane to sit down at the negotiating table.

Trump also claims that Cuba is currently a bankrupt country, and called on it to conclude a deal with the United States. However, he denied that Washington was planning a violent regime change on the communist island. Cuba is currently struggling with a serious energy crisis after Trump decided to cut off the country's oil supplies. In response to the situation, Spain sent humanitarian aid to the island through the United Nations.

At the European level, Brussels will attend the inaugural session of the Council of Peace initiated by Trump, but will not become a member of it. The American administration also expressed strong support for Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and his government. According to statements by Trump's Secretary of State, Hungary's success is America's success, and the United States is committed to helping Orbán.
