The Italian alternative rock band Marlene Kuntz is celebrating one of its cult albums, Il vile, on tour. The music portal Rockit announced that two of the concerts will be opened by participants in its Vecchi di Merda initiative: on November 17 at the Monk club in Rome and on November 19 at the Locomotiv Club in Bologna. For the anticipated Milan concert on November 20 at the Magnolia club, the opening act has already been chosen — it's the project Milano Paranoia. Rockit ↗

The provocatively named Vecchi di Merda initiative supports musicians and bands who are no longer young. It responds to the fact that, according to Rockit, the music world often only recognizes "the next big discovery," and many competitions have age limits. Solo artists who have turned 40 and bands with an average age over 40 can apply. Applications are submitted via a form for subscribers of the Rockit community, together with the artist's own song; the deadline is November 5, 2026.
