Babiš Rejected Turk's Return Before Completion of Accident Investigation
Videos
Macinka is pushing for Turk to participate again in meetings at the Ministry of the Environment. According to available information, his position concerns the return of the honorary president of Motoristé to a working regime connected with the Green Deal agenda. However, Babiš said after the rally in Havířov that the government's current position remains unchanged. denik.cz ↗
The dispute provoked reactions from opposition politicians, who criticized Macinka's approach and labeled it as unacceptable. Some reactions were also directed at the broader conduct of Motoristé and at the role of Filip Turk in public office following the accident. Babiš's statement also showed that the Prime Minister does not want to back down from the condition that the government linked to Turk's return before the accident investigation is completed.
The further developments will depend primarily on the results of the traffic accident investigation. Until then, Turk remains outside the position of government plenipotentiary for Green Deal, although Motoristé show interest in his swift return to work.
