Zverev won the opening set on a tiebreak, but Sinner leveled the match in the same way in the second set, and as the match continued he took control of the final. The title thus remained in Italy, and Sinner confirmed his position as the tournament's top seed. sme.sk ↗
The result was also reflected in the ATP rankings. Sinner remained at the top, holding a lead of 4,970 points over second-placed Zverev. Following his appearance in the final at the All England Club, the German finalist moved ahead of Spaniard Carlos Alcaraza, who was absent from London due to injury. teraz.sk ↗
After the final, Zverev acknowledged Sinner's qualities but also expressed his belief that he will still win a Grand Slam trophy. For the German, this is another significant result at the highest level, although he is still waiting for his first title from a Grand Slam event. sport.sk ↗
Among Slovak tennis players, Alex Molčan remains the highest-ranked in the ATP rankings, holding onto 101st place. Further developments at the top of the standings will depend on the upcoming tournaments after the end of the grass-court season. sport.sk ↗
