🎯 What Did Not Appear in Slovak Media
Intelligence services link Russia to sabotage at arms factories across Europe. Belgium’s De Morgen, the Irish Independent, Italy’s Open and Romania’s Digi24 all reported the same finding by Western intelligence services on the same day: a series of sabotage attacks at European arms factories, in which Moscow is said to be using local criminal gangs. Bulgaria’s daily 24 Chasa added a specific case — an explosion at an arms factory near Tryavna that intelligence attributed to Russia. Slovak media did not cover the topic at all, while Czech media had only a single agency overview.Six countries are calling for a European tax on windfall profits of oil companies. The initiative is led by Portugal, Italy is simultaneously dealing with its own levy — and the European Commission has stated that taxing excess profits is a competence of member states, not the Union. The dispute is therefore not about whether oil companies should pay, but about who can actually decide it. It did not appear in Slovak or Czech news coverage.
The eighty-sixth day of protests in Albania. A candidate country of the European Union has had almost three months of uninterrupted street protests against the entire political class and demanding the prime minister’s resignation. Over the past ten days, not a single sentence about it has been published in Slovak or Czech media.
