Prague football club Sparta considered the future of coach Brian Priske following league defeats in the derby against Slavia and in Hradec Králové. Sporting director Tomáš Rosický stated that the club's leadership genuinely discussed his position after the unsuccessful matches. He was responding to criticism of the Prague team's poor start to the season. denik.cz ↗
According to Rosický, Sparta experienced one of its worst starts in recent years. The results and performances drew criticism, which also focused on the work of the leadership and coaching staff. Priske's position was therefore not entirely certain after the aforementioned defeats, according to Rosický, even though the Danish coach remains with the team. eurofotbal.cz ↗
Rosický also assessed his most intensive transfer period since taking up the role of sporting director. During the summer, his colleagues brought eleven new signings to Sparta. With this, the club attempted to strengthen the team following its previous performances and prepare it for the rest of the season. sport.cz ↗
The interview also touched on the functioning of the club and the responsibility of the sporting leadership. In it, Rosický denied bearing sole responsibility for the current situation. Sparta now needs results that would ease the pressure following its poor start, while also confirming that the summer changes to the squad will lead to improvement. zpravy.aktualne.cz ↗
