SHMÚ officially recognizes Slovakia's new temperature record

The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute officially recognized a new record for the maximum air temperature on the territory of Slovakia. The value of 41.3 degrees Celsius was measured on June 30 in Kamenica nad Hronom, and experts confirmed it at a meeting on Thursday, July 9. ta3.com ↗

The recognition of the record means that the extremely high temperature from the end of June is now recorded as the highest officially confirmed value in the history of measurements in Slovakia.
