Karoline Leavitt will leave her position as White House spokesperson at the end of August. American President Donald Trump announced this on Wednesday evening on his Truth Social platform. According to his statement, the 28-year-old press secretary wants to spend more time with her children and family. kultura.pravda.sk ↗
Leavitt was among the President's closest collaborators and since the beginning of Trump's second administration has been one of the most visible faces of the White House. Media outlets recall that she was the youngest person in history to hold the position of White House press secretary. She acted as a convinced advocate of the President's policies and regularly communicated the administration's positions to the media. hnonline.sk ↗
Trump described her as one of his most trustworthy collaborators upon announcing her departure and simultaneously praised her as one of the best spokespersons in history. According to available information, Leavitt recently welcomed her second child and returned to work only a few weeks after her maternity leave. zpravy.aktualne.cz ↗
The White House will need to find a new person for one of the most prominent communication positions in the administration. Leavitt's departure comes at a time when Trump faces mounting political pressure and will need new primary media representation. ta3.com ↗
