Montreal entered the game promisingly and led 3:1, but Buffalo fought its way back into the match and subsequently dominated the rest of the game. The home hockey players suffered a harsh defeat and, instead of advancing to the final, are taking home a humiliating debacle on their own ice. sme.sk ↗
Montreal goaltender Jakub Dobeš conceded six goals and was pulled by the coach after nearly fifty minutes of play. Slovak forward Juraj Slafkovský played the game in Montreal's jersey, though at a crucial moment in the series it was his worst performance. Slafkovský spent 17 minutes and 46 seconds on the ice and sent three shots on goal. dennikn.sk ↗
The seventh game of the series will decide who advances to the Eastern Conference final, bringing either Montreal a path to the final, or Buffalo its third chance to advance. The duel will represent the dramatic culmination of the second round of the playoffs, where Montreal begins in front of its home fans in a poor psychological position after the heavy defeat. SITA ↗
