Colorado's hockey players continue their successful campaign in the NHL playoffs. On Tuesday they won at home against the Minnesota Wild 5:2 and increased their lead in the second-round series to 2:0 in games. Czech forward Martin Nečas contributed to the win with two points for a goal and an assist, gaining more ice time following an unsuccessful first round. idnes.cz ↗ hnonline.sk ↗
In the first round against Los Angeles, Nečas had only two assists in four games. Against Minnesota, his tally improved significantly, as he collected four points during the first two games — an assist plus a goal. Colorado's coach highlighted the unexpected contribution of the Czech player, who has become a key figure for the home team in advancing through the playoffs. zpravy.aktualne.cz ↗ denik.cz ↗
The Avalanche have not lost so far this playoff season. Nathan MacKinnon was named the game's best player. Minnesota now faces the next two home games, in which they will try to get back into the series and stop Colorado's lead. Nečas, with his performance and productivity, has silenced critics who at the start of the playoffs rated him as a less useful player in these tense battles. sport.cz - fotbal ↗
