Feu! Chatterton: the song Ce qu'on devient chosen by Soft Power and Rolling Stone
The radio program Soft Power on France Culture and Rolling Stone magazine have chosen the song "Ce qu'on devient" by Feu! Chatterton as song of the week. It comes from the band's fourth album Labyrinthe, released in September 2025, which earned a gold record from SNEP three months later. The previous album, Palais d'argile, from 2021, is platinum. The song speaks about the passage of time, about how people change, and about relationships that resist the years only with effort. Singer Arthur Teboul himself admits that its pop and new wave feel represents an unexpected shift for a band with rock roots. The video was shot on 16 mm film by his brother Sacha Teboul, and alongside Arthur, actress Marie Colomb appears in it. The band refused to shorten the song for streaming platforms and kept its instrumental bridge as well as its gradual buildup. Rolling Stone ↗
The arena tour continues on November 18 in Aurillac, followed among others by Lille, Rennes, Rouen, Marseille, Nantes, Toulouse and Bordeaux. The peak will come on February 8 and 9, 2027, at the Accor Arena in Paris. Rolling Stone ↗
Feu! Chatterton was formed in Paris in 2011 around singer Arthur Teboul, and their name pays tribute to the English poet Thomas Chatterton. Their music combines rock, French chanson, poetry and electronics. Wikipedia ↗
