Trisha Yearwood was born on September 19, 1964, in Monticello, Georgia. After studying in Nashville, she recorded demos and sang backing vocals on the second album of her friend and later husband Garth Brooks — on No Fences from 1990. Before she made it to Music City, she completed a two-year business program at Young Harris College, and only then transferred to Nashville's Belmont College, today's Belmont University, to study music business. There she landed an internship at the MTM Records label, where she recorded demos and sang backing vocals for other artists.
