Sparta Prague footballers, after Saturday's 0:2 defeat at Mladá Boleslav in the third round of the Chance League, are also dealing with significant squad changes. The club was left by captain Lukáš Haraslín, who after five years headed to Saudi Arabian Al-Fatehu SC, and could not hold back his emotions when saying goodbye to Sparta. idnes.cz ↗

Sparta in Mladá Boleslav did not deliver any significant attacking performance and did not shoot on goal even once. They played without Haraslín and Jan Kuchta, with Guddal, for whom it was a debut, and Hollý also appearing in the lineup. Before the match, the Letná side were expected to confirm better form following their victory over Lyon in the third qualifying round of the Champions League, but they stumbled again in the domestic competition. zpravy.aktualne.cz ↗

The result meant a second defeat for Sparta at the start of the new league season. They began the season with an unexpected 1:3 loss at Zbrojovka Brno, then recorded a home victory over Zlín. After three rounds, they had only three points to their name. dennikn.sk ↗

Besides Haraslín, Kuchta also left, going on loan with an option to Legia Warsaw. Goalkeeper Peter Vindahl went on loan without an option and according to new information, two more players could leave Sparta. The situation around Veljko Birmančević is also uncertain, whose possible departure would mean another blow to the attack. sport.cz ↗

Coach Brian Priske is thus dealing not only with a weak league start, but also with limited squad options, fragility in defense and further transfer developments. The coming weeks will show whether Sparta can stabilize the lineup after the departures of key players before the transfer window closes. isport.cz ↗
