Péter Magyar in Pécs rejected prediction about TISZA party's collapse

Péter Magyar spoke on Saturday in Pécs during the next stage of his nationwide tour. In his speech he responded to an earlier prediction by Viktor Orbán, according to which the TISZA party was supposed to collapse after 133 days. Magyar stated that he has now been prime minister for 133 days, but has not yet seen the expected collapse. HVG ↗

Magyar also responded to Orbán's words in his Facebook post while traveling to Pécs. He ironically asked whether the Hungarian prime minister, in his prediction, actually meant the Fidesz party. His Pécs appearance was part of a new nationwide tour that he began last week in Veszprém. Index.hu ↗

At the first event he was accompanied by Ágnes Forsthoffer, the Speaker of Parliament. However, before the speech in Pécs, according to the available description, it was not clear whether she would join him again. Forsthoffer separately responded to Magyar's earlier post about meeting the conditions for obtaining European Union funds. In her comment on it, the previous prime minister came to her mind in a certain way. Telex ↗

With his appearance, Magyar continues the TISZA party's campaign before the public in individual Hungarian cities. He focused on Viktor Orbán's political message and on the claim that the opposition movement would lose support or fall apart after 133 days. The further course of the tour is expected to show how the party will continue to develop its political communication.
