According to Refresher, Conway the Machine was supposed to be one of the biggest stars of the Hip Hop Kemp 2026 festival, which the organizer canceled just hours before it began. According to the label's press release, the song is about getting back on your own feet after a major downturn in life. "It's an intro to my upcoming album, the start of a new chapter," says Katannah, who released his second album in February. According to the press release, the track has a dirty underground sound inspired by New York rap. Karlo, real name Juraj Čaba, is one of the founders of the label Milion+.
Conway the Machine, real name Demond Price, is from Buffalo and is one of the founders of the label Griselda. In 2012 he was shot in the head, neck and shoulder, leaving him with permanent partial facial paralysis that gave his delivery its distinctive diction.
