Böhmermann's satirical show ZDF Magazin Royale is ending

The satirical television show ZDF Magazin Royale, hosted by Jan Böhmermann, will stop airing in its current form at the end of the year. German broadcaster ZDF has announced that it will end the program after more than six years and 187 broadcast episodes. Deutschlandfunk ↗

According to the broadcaster, however, the show's end does not mean the end of cooperation with Böhmermann. ZDF and the host are negotiating a new television format intended to build on their existing collaboration.
