The Nation is a left-leaning and progressive American monthly magazine. It covers politics and culture and bills itself as "the flagship of the left." The Nation was once the oldest weekly magazine in the US, but is now published on a monthly basis. It publishes articles by various high-profile American academics and activists. Jacobin founder Bhaskar Sunkara is the president of the magazine.
