Wikipedia

Argentínske tango je hudobný a tanečný štýl, ktorý pochádza z druhej polovice 19. storočia z dvoch veľkých prístavov oblasti Río de la Plata - Buenos Aires (Argentína) a Montevideo (Uruguaj). Tango pravdepodobne vzniklo zmiešaním ľudovej hudby mnohých európskych krajín: Taliansko, Rusko, Nemecko, Španielsko, Poľsko - prisťahovalci) a hudby miestnych kreolov, černochov a indiánov. Vyznačuje sa vášňou, ale i nostalgiou a melanchóliou, zvukovú osobitosť mu dodáva hudobný nástroj bandoneón. Medzi jeho významné osobnosti patria spevák a skladateľ Carlos Gardel, skladateľ Mariano Mores a umelci Osvaldo Pugliese a Astor Piazzolla.
Medzi najznámejšie orchestre možno zaradiť : Lomuto, D'Arienzo, Di Sarli, Di Paulo, Canaro, Firpo, Pugliese, Piazzolla, ďalej Color Tango, Gotan Project, Bajo Fondo a ďalšie.
