Štěpnička was one of the prominent figures of Czech culture. During a career spanning more than sixty years, he portrayed hundreds of characters on stage, in film and on television. He was a long-standing member of the National Theatre's drama ensemble and also received the Thálie Award. reflex.cz ↗
He also made a significant mark in dubbing. He lent his voice to American actor Harrison Ford for Czech audiences, including in the role of film archaeologist Indiana Jones. Thanks to his distinctive voice, he became one of the best-known Czech voice actors for foreign film stars. hnonline.sk ↗
Among his film roles, viewers in recent years remembered him, for example, as a secret police colonel in the film In the Shadow.
