Zelensky is ready to meet Putin at the G20 summit
"We must come. We must meet, talk and make decisions," Zelensky said in an interview with Deutsche Welle. He also stressed that it will be important to make concrete decisions during the negotiations.
The Kremlin stated on Saturday that it has not yet decided on Putin's participation in the December G20 summit in Miami. The statement came after Zelensky's remarks about a possible personal meeting between the two presidents. Moscow also signaled that the invitation for Zelensky to visit Russia still stands, should the Ukrainian president wish to negotiate with Putin. aktuality.sk ↗
Zelensky made his readiness for a meeting conditional on Putin's participation in the summit. The available statements thus indicate that any potential negotiations will depend primarily on the decision of the Russian president, who has not yet confirmed his arrival in Miami. Welt ↗
Should both leaders take part, the G20 summit could become a venue for direct political contact between Kyiv and Moscow. Whether this actually happens, however, will depend on the Kremlin's further steps. hnonline.sk ↗
