Elán bids farewell to Czech audience in Prague

The Slovak pop-rock band Elán played its reportedly last Czech concert on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in a packed Prague O2 arena. The performance, called Elán a kamarádi (Elán and Friends), was watched by approximately 15,000 fans. ceskenoviny.cz ↗

The concert had a farewell character and followed the band's repeated announcements that it is saying goodbye to the stage. The Bratislava-based group led by Jožo Ráž performed in Prague, with the program supplemented by the participation of many former members. The event thus took the form not only of an ordinary concert, but also a tribute to the band's long history and its ties to the Czech audience. idnes.cz ↗

According to available information, this was Elán's last performance in Czechia. The phrase "reportedly last" appears repeatedly because the band has announced similar farewells to the stage in the past. The Prague concert was therefore accompanied by a combination of nostalgia, anticipation, and caution in assessing whether this is truly the definitive end of its Czech concerts. seznamzpravy.cz ↗

Elán is set to play several more performances in Slovakia before the end of the year. Further developments will thus show whether the Prague O2 arena was indeed the last place where the band performed for the Czech audience, or whether its farewell series will change again in the future. novinky.cz ↗
