Dynamo beat Sparta 6:4, Červenka overshadowed Chlapík

Pardubice won 6:4 over Prague's Sparta in the Sunday showdown of round eight of the Tipsport Extraliga hockey league. Thanks to the victory, Dynamo opened up an eleven-point lead over its rival. The match was played on October 4 at 6:30 p.m. idnes.cz ↗

Pardubice's attack was led by Roman Červenka, who scored one goal and recorded three assists. He clearly outshone Sparta's Filip Chlapík. The game offered fast, physical hockey, several notable moments and a fight between players. Jan Smejkal and Chlapík also got involved in the clash. isport.cz ↗

One of the side stories of the match was a duel between players who had previously played for opposing clubs. Pardubice's Tomášek scored with a beautiful solo effort against Sparta and contributed to his team's win. On the other side, Matěj Blümel also took the ice, and his duel with Tomášek was one of the standout individual moments of the evening. isport.cz ↗

Sparta paid, among other things, for a significant mistake that affected the course of the game. One of the goals came after a bizarre puck bounce. Pardubice ultimately held their lead and carried the game to a 6:4 win. sport.cz ↗

The result strengthened Dynamo's position in the direct contest with the Prague club. Sparta will have the chance to respond in the next extraliga rounds, while Pardubice have firmly widened their points gap after the victory.
