In 1978, Sting, Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers were flat broke and took on almost anything that came their way. It was quite a significant request, since all three knew how much image influenced success at the time. What's more, the commercial never actually aired, even though it featured fairly intense visuals — according to Summers, including a scene in which they "carry a two-metre-long pack of Wrigley's across the room."
