Over the last years of his life, Norris struggled with serious health problems. Two years ago he lost his mother, Wilma Norris Knight, and shortly before his death he faced another personal loss. In public, however, he always appeared full of energy, and as recently as a week ago he was engaged in training activities. He had even planned a visit to Prague last year, which he later canceled. lidovky.cz ↗

Norris became famous primarily as Cordell Walker in the cult series Walker, Texas Ranger and in numerous action films. Before his film career, he was a six-time world karate champion. His son Dakota sent his father a touching message, expressing hope that he would live in a way that would honor his memory. World-famous actors Sylvester Stallone and Jean-Claude Van Damme shared moving memories of their colleague. interez.sk ↗

Norris also became an internet meme, as hundreds of humorous jokes emerged about his supposed superhuman abilities. Nevertheless, during his life he wished to be remembered more as a martial arts master and philanthropist. His granddaughter Greta recalls that although he was known for his legendary abilities, in private he was simply a grandfather who knew how to listen. Norris also visited Czechoslovakia and Slovakia, where his fans welcomed him with warm affection. interez.sk ↗
