The Philadelphia vocal trio Boyz II Men has signed a deal with Warner Records Nashville, which will release its country project in 2027. "R&B is our root. And I guess that's why we fall into country so easily, because the melodies are similar," Wanya Morris told The Tennessean. Neither the title nor the exact release date is known yet. It will be the trio's first album in ten years, since Under the Streetlight from 2017. Shawn Stockman said they had always been fascinated by storytelling in country music, and that together with Nathan Morris and Wanya Morris they wrote songs with award-winning Nashville songwriters, whose names he did not reveal. They have already dipped into country before: in 2018 they performed at the Grand Ole Opry, in 2021 they sang with Chris Stapleton on the CMT Artists of the Year special, and in April 2026 with Cody Johnson at the Stagecoach festival. Their joint song with Lady A, I Love the One, will be released on October 30 on a compilation of songs inspired by the series The Chosen. Boyz II Men became famous for R&B hits End of the Road, I'll Make Love to You, On Bended Knee and One Sweet Day, and in 2025 they became the first group to win The Masked Singer. Spin ↗
