While British prime ministers take turns one after another, one resident of Downing Street remains in place — the cat Larry. With Keir Starmer's departure, he has now outlasted six prime ministers at the famous London address and become the most permanent member of Britain's center of power.
The brown-and-white cat moved into the prime minister's residence in February 2011, back under David Cameron. Since then he has seen Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, Rishi Sunak and Starmer himself come and go.
