Novak Djokovic reached the final of the ATP 500 tournament in Beijing after Daniil Medvedev was disqualified. The Serb led 7:5, 5:3 in the semifinal when the Russian, frustrated after a rally, hit the ball toward the stands and struck a spectator in the face. BBC News ↗
The referee subsequently removed Medvedev from the match. The encounter thus ended prematurely, even though up to that point it had offered a close and high-quality contest. Djokovic extended his Beijing winning streak to 33 matches and secured his place in the 146th final of his career. zpravy.aktualne.cz ↗
