Havlíček does not expect prices to fall after Trump's deal with Putin
According to the minister, securing supplies of Russian diesel by itself will not have a significant impact on price developments. He therefore does not consider the expectation that the agreement between Washington and Moscow will lead to lower fuel prices to be justified. idnes.cz ↗
The agreement concerns supplies of Russian diesel to the United States and the world market. However, Havlíček does not expect its conclusion to change prices in favor of consumers. He expressed his position in connection with the plan that Trump agreed on with Putin.
The minister also questioned the practical impact of the agreement on the market. His statement implies that, in his view, the mere resumption or expansion of Russian diesel supplies will not be a sufficient reason for prices to fall.
Details regarding the volume of planned supplies or the timetable of the agreement were not provided in connection with Havlíček's statement. Further price developments will therefore depend on the actual implementation of the agreement and the reaction of the world market.
