The Age Of Quarrel by Cro-Mags, one of the classics of New York hardcore, was released on September 16, 1986. For its 40th anniversary, the band led by Harley Flanagan has re-recorded the whole album. The reissue, titled Age Of Quarrel: 40 Years Of Quarrel, comes out on November 13, 2026. Visions ↗
The first track released from it is Everybody's Gonna Die. It was part of a 1985 demo but was left off the album's final tracklist. Even so, this one-minute blast became a favorite among fans of early Cro-Mags. On the reissue, the band adds it to the original record as a bonus track. Visions ↗
Cro-Mags formed in New York in 1981, and The Age Of Quarrel is still considered one of the cornerstones of the crossover between hardcore punk and thrash metal. It is an album through which many metal bands found their way to hardcore, and vice versa.
The band has been listed on SuperMusic.cz since 2011, until now without a single song. Lyrics for We Gotta Know, Hard Times and Street Justice, all from The Age Of Quarrel, have now been added.
