The Italian band Messa is coming to Spain this week for two concerts. On Wednesday, October 28, they will play at the Salamandra venue in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat near Barcelona, and on Thursday, October 29, at Madrid's Copérnico venue. They will present their fourth studio album The Spin, which according to the magazine MondoSonoro combines doom metal, post-rock and post-punk with the captivating voice of singer Sara Bianchin. German heavy metal act The Night Eternal will appear as guests with their third album Cold Velvet. MondoSonoro ↗

Messa was formed at the beginning of 2014 in Cittadella. The name means "mass" in Italian, and the band itself calls its style "scarlet doom." After the albums Belfry (2016) and Feast for Water (2018), they began playing at festivals such as Hellfest and Roadburn; their third album Close was released in 2022. In 2024 they signed with the American label Metal Blade, where a year later they released The Spin – the album appeared in the annual rankings of Decibel and Metal Hammer magazines. Wikipedia ↗

The song "Pilgrim" comes from the album Close, while "At Races" and "Fire on the Roof" come from The Spin, for which the band released official music videos.
