Calgary Flames lost 1:6 in Seattle, Slovaks failed to score points

The Calgary Flames lost 1:6 on the ice against the Seattle Kraken late on Sunday night. For the team coached by Ryan Huske, it was the third consecutive defeat since the start of the new NHL season. Calgary is still waiting for its first win of the season. hnonline.sk ↗

Three Slovak players wore the Flames jersey: defenseman Šimon Nemec and forwards Martin Pospíšil and Samuel Honzek. None of them recorded a point. The Slovak trio thus could not prevent a heavy defeat for their team. sport.sk ↗

Pospíšil stood out especially for his physical, aggressive play and was among the players who delivered the most body checks in the game. Despite his activity, however, Calgary could not keep pace with the home Seattle side. According to the performance ratings, Nemec was among the best Flames players, but even his individual contribution was not enough to turn the course of the match around. sport.sk ↗

Calgary scored only one goal during the game, while Seattle found the net six times. The Flames thus remain without a win after three games, and their Slovak players are still waiting for their first points of the new season. Time will tell whether the team can stop its unfavorable start to the season and improve both its defense and its productivity. sme.sk ↗
