Barcelona beat Levante and overtook Real Madrid at the top of La Liga

FC Barcelona footballers won 3:0 over Levante in matchday 25 of the Spanish La Liga and returned to the top of the table. The Catalans moved ahead of Real Madrid by one point. The home players played with a man down from the 26th minute after Djene's sending-off, which, however, did not affect their performance. Barcelona thus took advantage of Real Madrid's Saturday slip-up and strengthened their position in the title race.

Coach Hansi Flick continues building a disciplined team. He has introduced a strict system of fines to promote punctuality and accountability among the players. For a ten-minute delay on match day, players must pay a fine of 40,000 euros. This financial penalty represents a departure from traditional sporting punishments and underscores the commitments Flick demands from his squad.

Barcelona is also thinking about the future. The 16-year-old English super-talent Tavares from Norwich is joining the club. The young player has experience in the Premier League youth ranks and the England national team. The Catalans also face administrative tasks, including attempts to reschedule a Champions League match, which they are supposed to play at their home stadium on 17 March.
