For Alcaraz, this is his first title since returning to the tour after an approximately four-month break caused by a wrist injury. He also won his third trophy this season and his first since the February tournament in Qatar. The Tokyo victory allowed him to confirm his return to competitive play after a period of uncertainty linked to his health. sport.sk ↗
Lehečka had the opportunity to win his third career title and his first at an ATP 500 event. Despite the final defeat, he achieved his best result at this tournament in Tokyo. After his successful defense, Alcaraz continues the season as one of the highest-ranked players in the world. isport.cz ↗
