Sparta decided the victory with goals from Josimar Alcócer and John Mercado. The home side had the match under control, and Jablonec created only a minimum of chances at Letná. The visitors appeared resigned, and according to their coach Luboš Kozel, they especially failed to create any notable chances in the first half. denik.cz ↗
Before the match, the Prague team had faced pressure following four defeats in seven league matches. Their mood was also helped by the previous cup win over Žižkov 5:0. After the victory, coach Brian Priske stressed that Sparta must confirm similar quality in upcoming matches as well. sport.cz - fotbal ↗
Hugo Sochůrek returned to the starting lineup and, according to match assessments, delivered a strong performance. Roman Macek also contributed to the success, taking part in the attacking move before the first goal. Sparta thus earned important points after a period of poor results. isport.cz ↗
Jablonec, on the other hand, left Prague without a point, and its coach was searching for the causes of the weak performance. Sparta will want to build on this victory in the coming league rounds in order to move closer to the top of the table and stabilize its results. idnes.cz ↗
