Energy and fuels contributed most to the rise in inflation. Petrol and diesel showed the steepest year-on-year price increases, which fed into the overall trend in consumer prices. Higher energy prices were among the other main factors pushing inflation up in September. zpravy.aktualne.cz ↗

August, by contrast, brought year-on-year price growth of 1.9 percent. The September acceleration therefore represents an increase of 0.6 percentage points. Although prices rose year on year, they remained on average at the same level as in the previous month. ihned.cz - byznys ↗

The preliminary figure from the Czech Statistical Office describes price developments across the whole economy, with costs related to energy and transport having the decisive influence in September.
