Bayern Munich may take on Arsenal in Wednesday's Champions League matchday three clash without head coach Vincent Kompany. The Belgian coach is fighting a viral illness, and his participation in the match at the Allianz Arena remains uncertain. sport.cz - hokej ↗
If Kompany is unable to lead the team, his duties will be taken over by assistant Aaron Danks. The 43-year-old Englishman led the pre-match press conference, and according to German media, he is ready to stand in for the head coach. Danks could thus lead Bayern for the first time in an important European match. Tagesspiegel ↗
Bayern face a clash between attacking power and Arsenal's solid defense. The London side has not yet conceded a goal in the competition so far. The match will kick off at 9:00 p.m. in Munich. idnes.cz ↗
Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya, who in the past nearly transferred to Bayern, is also drawing attention. The Spaniard said, in connection with Manuel Neuer, that the German team's captain is a role model for goalkeepers. Tagesspiegel ↗
The final decision on Kompany's participation will depend on his health condition. Bayern will also try to make use of home advantage, while Arsenal will continue their run of matches without conceding a goal. Die Zeit ↗
