Ten years after the release of the song "Completamente" — one of the emblematic songs of the period when Italian indie reached a wide audience — Thegiornalisti are preparing an anniversary edition of the album Completamente Sold Out. The original album from October 2016 represented one of the decisive moments in the band's rise, and at the same time of the entire new Italian it-pop scene, which at that very time began to cross the boundaries of indie and conquer the mainstream. The band was led by the songwriting of Tommaso Paradiso, who built an instantly recognizable world full of loves, Roman streets and summer nights. OndaRock ↗
Thegiornalisti was formed in Rome in 2009, with singer Tommaso Paradiso, drummer Marco Primavera and multi-instrumentalist Marco Antonio Musella. Over the decade of its existence, it grew from a club indie band into one of the most-played Italian acts — songs like "Riccione" or "Questa nostra stupida canzone d'amore" are among those that an entire generation associates with the band. In 2019, Paradiso announced his departure and the band ended its activity.

Paradiso continues his solo career, and Completamente Sold Out thus remains a document of a precisely defined moment: the moment when Italian indie became stadium pop. The anniversary edition contains the original tracklist on vinyl.
