The Czech top football league returns after a nearly three-week international break with a Friday fixture rescheduled from round 10. Starting at 18:00, the home team at the Zlín stadium will face Prague's Slavia. Zlín is last in the table, while Slavia leads the league. sport.cz ↗
The match represents a clash between teams from opposite ends of the table. The Prague side enters it as the favorite on paper, while the home players will try to surprise the league leader in front of their own fans. The match will also open the league program after a long break caused by international duties. isport.cz ↗
Zlín wants to accompany the match with a new club song called "Ševci, vzhůru na Letnou!" ("Cobblers, onward to Letná!"). The song is meant to accompany the players for the first time as they take the field for a league match. The home stadium will symbolically be dressed in pink for Friday's duel in support of cancer patients. idnes.cz ↗
Friday's clash will also be watched as a test of both teams' return to competitive rhythm. Slavia will defend first place in the table, while Zlín needs to start collecting points to pull away from the bottom spot. The result could influence further developments at both ends of the table, though the league is only just entering the next part of the season after the international break. denik.cz ↗
