Guè and Marracash Release Joint Single Casini. Celebrating Ten Years of Santeria
Two of the most influential Italian rappers, Marracash and Guè, released a joint new track. The song is called "Casini" and was released an hour after midnight. "To celebrate 30 years of friendship, 20 years of joint career and 10 years of Santeria," both wrote on social networks. "The only new song, a unique gift on the occasion of a double concert in Milan." Rolling Stone Italia ↗
That Santeria is their joint album from 2016, which in Italian rap is considered one of the most successful joint albums ever. The duo will celebrate its tenth anniversary at two concerts at Milan's Ippodromo Snai San Siro on September 12 and 13 — and the new track is meant to crown these celebrations. Rolling Stone Italia ↗
Guè, whose real name is Cosimo Fini, was born in 1980 in Milan and performed under the name Guè Pequeno until November 2021. Besides his solo career, he is a member of the trio Club Dogo together with rapper Jake La Furia and producer Don Joe, which is one of the most influential formations on the Italian hip-hop scene since the beginning of the millennium. Their collaboration has a long history even outside of Santeria.
