Fire at Lidl store in Kladno caused damage of 120 million crowns

A large fire at the Lidl department store on Americká street in Kladno broke out shortly after midnight on the night of September 7-8. Firefighters declared first a second, later a third degree of alarm. They provisionally assessed the damage at 120 million crowns. No one was injured during the operation. denik.cz ↗

Dozens of firefighters, approximately 18 units, were deployed at the scene, and aerial equipment was also used. The fire engulfed the building in its entirety and the area around the store was closed off. Heavy equipment arrived at the scene to help with dismantling the damaged structures of the building. As a precautionary measure, 53 people were evacuated from a nearby hostel. After securing the situation, they were able to return to the building.
