The Puerto Rican duo Buscabulla — singer Raquel Berríos and multi-instrumentalist Luis Alfredo del Valle — have released their second album, Se amaba así (Domino / Music As Usual, 2025), which Berríos describes in an interview with the Spanish outlet Rockdelux as therapy. "This album is therapy that helped us understand and get through our breakup," she says. While their first full-length record, Regresa, was in some sense an album about love, the second is openly marked by the collapse of their relationship: "It's an album about not-love, in which each of us tells their own side of the story." The duo formed as a couple and as a band at the same time, and that is precisely what gave their breakup its peculiar shape — the relationship ended, but the collaboration didn't. It was preceded by five years that Berríos describes as a series of ups and downs: in 2023 her father died, and in those same days they lost their manager. Buscabulla's career is winding and still fairly short, but it contains one decisive milestone: the collaboration with Bad Bunny on the track "Andrea" from the album Un verano sin ti (2022). For Berríos, who comes from Trujillo Alto in Puerto Rico, the Bad Bunny phenomenon is not a marginal matter — Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio put the island on the world map. They arrived in Madrid at a time when the city was hosting two visits of world renown at once; when the subject came up, Berríos joked: "Bad Bunny... and who's the other one?" The duo's tour took off at Primavera Sound: "People from the festival came to Puerto Rico for Bad Bunny's residency, we met, and they invited us to Barcelona," Berríos explains.
